Old SILVER & CORAL Yemeni Necklace

This is a lovely, large ANTIQUESILVER & CORAL NECKLACE from Yemen. It measures approximately 33” (83,8 cm) long and the center pendant measures approximately 2 1/4\" (5,75 cm) long. The pendant features all sorts of silversmithing techniqhes- filigree, repousse, overlay, wirework, granulation. It has cornerless cube beads and all elements are antique. This piece seems to have been restrung, but a long time ago as all the pieces are antique. The coral is orange but could use a little cleaning in warm water. This piece has absolutely wonderful patina and wear. IT IS SIGNIFICANTLY OLDER THAN MANY SIMILAR PIECES. THE WORKMANSHIP IS PARTICULARLY FINE AND SUPERBLY WELL-WROUGHT. It weighs 140.9 grams.
