Antique Silver Inlay Mexican Spurs From Forrest Fenn Gallery Mexico circa 1875:

For your consideration is a beautiful pair of Mexican Spurs. These spurs feature silver inlay and intricate patterns throughout. They were sold at some by the famous art dealer Forrest Fenn who has a gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. They still have a lead or pewter tag attached by wire with the words FENN on one side and PVT COLL. Signifying that these were part of his private collection presumably. There is also a paper tag attached by the wire that says “Silver inlaid Spurs ca 1875”. On the inside of one of the spurs there is some information painted in white lettering. This writing looks very old and about half of it has worn off over time. From what I can tell, this information written on the spurs appears to be some provenance of the history of the spurs, but unfortunately I have not been able to make out all of it. With some work there may be a way to find out what is written in its entirety, but I can not promise anything. Fenn is most famous for for hiding a copper box of treasure full of gold and other precious metals said to be worth one million dollars at the time he hid it in 2010. Fenn has said that he will recover the treasure once the value has inflated to ten million dollars, if no one has discovered it by then.
