Lady’s Mirror w/Lipstick holder c1920, 60 g

Lovelyand very elegant little silver purse or handbag accessory with an integrated

lipstick holder, probably dating from the late 1920’s, perhaps earlier.

This hasa lovely design with a hinged oval mirror, the rear of which is decorated witha

guilloche pattern, framed by a hand engraved (?) garland of roses and fronds.

Thehandle is lightly ridged and conceals the lipstick holder inside.

Very wellcrafted and detailed work – this wouldgrace any dressing table or cabinet,

be a perfect gift and certainly a fineaddition to an antique collection!

Size: 13 x 5.4 x 1.5 cm.

The lipstick holdermeasures 5 x 1.6 cm.

Weight: 60 g

Hallmarked: 835, 13, makers mark H B in shield

Condition:this is in very good condition, with only

slight signs of use,commensurate with age.

Very tiny nicks, faint surface scratches and a smallindentation to

the rim (see photo), but no other damage.

The holder containslipstick remains, but these could

be easily removed, if desired.

It has been gently polished with a softcloth and retains it’s lovely patina.
