This antique Wilcox silver-plated butter dish has a glass plate insert that lifts out. The butter is placed there and the ice is put in below to keep the to add to a butter cold. There is a wonderful silver etching of a girl standing next to a cow on the inside of the butter dish. Very pretty with it\'s silver design. This butter dish has a silver swirl design on the middle and thelid. There are prongs that are meant to hold the butter knife. The original knife is missing.
