ANTIQUE SODA FOUNTAIN GLASS

Wonderful antique thick glass soda fountain mug measuring 8-1/4\" tall by 3\" wide. Featuring a pedestal base, applied handle and thick glass elongated shape with pressed panels, it has shaded to a soft purple from age. Condition is very nice with a few cased bubbles and two compression marks within the foot as shown - these are not chips and cannot be felt - there is no missing glass - looks like the mug was knocked about or put down with too much force and the glass was \"bruised\" on the underside edge - does not show from the side or detract. Guessing this would have once been used to serve ice cream or possibly a phosphate soda drink - shape reminds me of a penny lick. Just a wonderful, early glass mug - nice addition to any soda fountain collection or display!
