ANTIQUE SOLID SILVERTHIMBLEMade in NORWAY, byMARIUS HAMMER of BERGENBorn - 1847 Died - 1927-----------This is a superb thimble, showing littlesigns of ever being used.Green hardstone in the end.Overlaid zigzag pattern, filled in withgreen enamel.White enamel dots all round the base.Gilded on the inside.There are very faint scratches on theplain upper side, showing that it hashad a little use.-----------There are excellent quality and maker`smarks inside the thimble, but my camerais not good enough to pick up the detail.See picture 2.I have included a picture of the markstaken from a pendant cross, already listed.See picture 3.-----------This has come from a very large collection,and bought for £48 in 1987.-----------NO FAULTS-----------Height:- 23 millimetres / 0.90 inches.Internal diameter:- 17 mms. / 0.67 ins.Weight:- 7.6 grams / 0.24 ounces.-----------If you buy more than one item, I willalways combine lots, to keep postagecosts to a minimum.Please wait for me to send you a finalinvoice, before making payment.
