DESCRIPTION: A beautiful antique hip flask by Alvin dating from the first part of the 20th century. The removable cup is solid sterling silver witha gold plated interior, marked Sterling and bearing the Alvin mark.The bayonet style lid is also solid sterling silver (marked on hinge) and contains the original corkseal. The flask is a very nice large size, measuring 6.5 inches tall, 3 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches thick. The flask has a capacity of 1/2 of a pint (marked on base). The removable cup is beautifully hand engraved. This is a lovely flask in good condition that would make a splendid addition to any collection
HALLMARKS:The sterling silver cup is marked \'Sterling\' and bears the makers mark for \'Alvin\'. The model number S207-3 is also marked on the base. The hinge of the Sterling Silver Lid is also marked \'Sterling\'.
CONDITION: Thisflask is in very good condition. The glass is perfect, there are nocracks or chips. The sterling silver base is also in goodcondition, however there are several small dents near the bottom of the cup. There arenumerous light scratches to the silver as one would expect from a pieceof this age. These do not detract from aesthetic appeal ofthe piece. The Solid Sterling Silver bayonet style lid is also in perfect working condition. There are several small dents to the lid as can be seen in the photos. Please note that thisis a genuine antique and therefore is obviously not like new - ithas a patina that only develops with time and use. PAYMENT: PayPalis preferred. I will also accept bank drafts.
