This sale is for a Lovely Antique Pearlware Brown Transferware Polychrome Platter made in the early to mid 1800s in Staffordshire England.
The pattern depicts in Brown Transferware a Classic Chinoiserie River scene with people in sailboats and mountains and palaces in the background and garden fences and oversized trees and flowers in the foreground that have hand-applied flourishes of green, red, yellow and blue against an Ivory or Tan background and a scalloped edge.
The platter measures nearly 15 inches long, 12 inches wide and about 1 5/8 inches tall.
It is not marked with the exception of an impressed \"14.\" I am not certain of the maker but it clearly was produced by one of the potteries that operated in the Staffordshire Region of England in the early to mid 1800s.
The platter Displays Wonderfully. It is in Very Good condition, especially for its age. There are no chips or cracks or damage. There is fine, even under-the-glaze crazing as expected from pearlware of this era and some minor utensil marks that do not detract from this Great Example of 19th Century Staffordshire.
I am selling many other antique platters and will combine shipping whenever possible.

I charge actual shipping and will send this either by USPS Priority Mail or by FedEx Ground, whichever is less expensive. If shipping works out to be less than you pay, I will reimburse the difference.
