Antique Staffordshire Sponge Decorated Cat Figurine, c. 19th Century. This early Staffordshire figurine is primitive and crude, but it is a part of what makes it so cute. This is a very good early Antique figurine manufactured during the middle of the 19th Century. This has a thick gray sponge decoration that is unevenly applied leaving some bare spots in back. Fine early example of an Antique a Staffordshire cat pottery figurine offered with the opening offer the reserve.
DIMENSIONS: The figurine is 5 1/8\" H. x 1 5/8\" thick x 2 7/8\" W.
CONDITION: The condition is very good with shallow long chip on one ear and tiny chips on top of ears. None of this is very visible. The glaze is applied unevenly on the back leaving some bare spots.
