This is an amazingchatelaine and is as complete as anyone I have ever seen as it hasthe main chatelaine and six pieces to hang from thetendrils. It has hallmarks which are on the back of the main top piece as seen in the photographs. The piece is heavily scrolled and depicts cherubs in repose, holding a basket of flowers, wheat and just resting. The chatelaine has some VERY rare components including: powder case with the original powder puff, a cigar cutter, cigar/cigarette case, letter opener with initials that we think are \"GGB\", the rare perfume bottle and the additional coin purse! Thepieces areinterchangeable so one can alterthe piece as they see fit. The powder case also has the ORIGINAL mirror which is almost never found. It is glass that was silvered backed and some of the silver still remains. I believe it also was meant to hold a lock of hair from a loved one but I am not sure. I inherited this lovelypiece and as I am downsizing significantly I must now sell it.
