Fine RARE Antique Aesthetic Movement - Victorian era - Sterling Silver Serving piece Ladle, from 1870 circa, it has a gold gilt bowl and fancy engraving. The tip of the handle has a solid silver FLY insect. It is marked J.E. Caldwell (of Philadelphia -Jewelers) and may have been made for that store by Gorham - unsure. It has an early monogram engraved on the back of the handle. It measures 8.5 inches long.
In excellent condition - no damage or repairs.From an old Red Bank, NJ mansion
