This is a delightful sterling silver souvenir spoon. It features a Christmas holiday theme with a figural Santa holding a child\'s toy at the top of the handle and \"Merry Christmas\" with birds, holly and a ribbon bow. The bowl is decorated with a decorated tree on a stand surrounded by a small fence . The detail on the spoon is remarkable. The 4\" spoon is marked \"Sterling\". Another mark is present but partially worn. Under high magnification it appears to be a man holding an object with a sun to his right. It is in as found very good condition with appropriate patina. There is no damage or restoration noted.
My grandmother was an antiques dealer and collector in the 60s, 70s up until her death in 1997. This piece is from her collection.
She was an eclectic collector who especially loved French Art Deco and art nouveau pieces. I have so many beautiful things from her and I just can\'t keep them all.
