This is an antique lot of four sterling silver demitasse spoons, three marked with the word \"Sterling\", one with 835 for Continental Grade silver. Winner will get all four spoons. Demitasse spoons were originally made for small coffee cups, and are experiencing renewed use and interest today, both for coffee and tea drinks, condiments, salt and pepper and other uses. Children love them, also. First photo, left to right:1. 4-1/4\" long, marked \"Sterling\" with a Gorham hallmark. Enamel holly and leaves handle, missing tiny enamel bits. Some tarnish and spotting on the back, especially.2. 3-5/8\", figural bow handle, marked \"Sterling\" (faintly on the back of the bowl where the handle is applied). This spoon is in the love or gift style spoon that was popular around 1900. They were often handmade and engraved with names, dates or places and given as momentos.3. 4\", with a floral design on handle, marked \"Th. Marthinsen Norway Sterling\".4. 3-3/8\" hand-hammered spoon that I\'m told is valuable, but I\'m leaving it in this lot. Marked \"835 Claus Hinrichs Rothenburg\". Very interesting openwork design on the handle.Combined weight about 32.7 grams.We usually make no attempt to clean or polish the silver we sell. It is in \"as found\" condition. We know some new owners like to polish (or not!), so we leave it up to them.
