This vintage sterling silver miniature pig tape measure is 2\" wide, 1\" high, 5/8\" thick. It is marked Sterling on the bottom, which indicates that it is most likely made in U.S. There is no maker\'s mark. There is an elegant multiple monogram on one side which is almost abstract and quite decorative. The tape measure works by twirling the pig\'s tail. The original satin tape is present, but it has deteriorated somewhat and a few inches have fallen off.

It is difficult to date the piece, but it is probably from the first half of the 20th century or earlier. The silver is in good condition, no dents. I have left the question of polishing to the new buyer. I have owned this little treasure for over 20 years.
