Antique Stone Top Enameled Sterling Silver Thimble
German * Early 20th Century
This unusual silver thimble is German with enameled sides in aqua blue and bands of white enamel above and below.A wavy engine turned guilloche design is engraved in the silver and shows through the translucent aqua enamel. It is set with a moonstone top with dimpled indentations. The inside top is marked "935" which indicates 935/1000 pure silver, a higher grade than sterling.
The enamel is
in perfect condition
with no damage or wear. The stone is intact with no chips or cracks but
it has been worn down a bit with use. It's about an
size 9 (15.5 mm diameter opening).
