ITEM DETAILS:

For offer this week is an antique caramel slag glass lamp that is slim and tall and would be perfect for those small spaces. – Anywhere you need a lamp but have limited space. This lamp likely dates to 1910-1920’s era and is made of solid brass or other alloy – Magnets don’t stick to the metal and it has a regular sized light socket – This lamp will work anywhere in North America.

The lamp stands 16.75 inches tall as measured from the base to the tip of the finial and the round base is about 4.25 inches wide – The lamp is well balanced, meaning you can pull on the chain switch using one hand only –no worry about pulling the lamp over or needing to use the other hand to hold the lamp as you turn it on. The lamps weights 5 Lbs before packing and was photographed with a 15 watt bulb installed (Bulb not included).

Condition wise, the shade is almost perfect – 1 (one) piece of the metal filigree broke off – I still have the piece and it will be included with the lamp. See last picture. This can be easily fixed with a touch of metal glue. I also note that 2 of the caramel slag panels might be replacement slag – Visually, it’s hard to tell but there are 2 panes that have a different thickness and appear slight different when inspected closely – the difference is not visible when the lamp is on - The shade measures approximately 7 inches tall and is about 7 inches wide at the bottom opening of the shade. The shade has 6 caramel glass panels.

The light socket’s pull chain switch works smoothly and has that reassuring “click” you’d expect and the lamp has been re-wired recently.

A perfect lamp for small spaces or a great desk lamp.
