Early Circa 1885 Antique Tiffany & Co.Silverplate butter dish
This one is QUITE uniqueVictorian, Art Nouveau design with a pineapple atop the lid (or acorn or pinecone?)Lovely and eye-catchingHobnail bumps around the edge of the bowl, carved flowers on the lid, 3 carved wreaths around the bowlOther small etching details around the floral band on the lidTiffany & Co.8640This pattern number dates it to 1885-1886Made for Tiffany by H.E. & Co., which seems to be a company in Sheffield England (but we cannot be sure it\'s that one)Marked \"EP\" = Electroplated silver (thin layer of sterling silver electroplated on the base metal)
Measures 6\" diameter, 2 1/8\" tall bowl only, 4 1/2\" tall including lid

Excellent antique conditionSome spots here and there, some loss to the silver on the inside bottom and on the tray insertTwo very shallow, light dents in the top of the lid, one is 3/16\", one is 1/4\" - not very noticeableOne 5/16\" light dent in the underside lip of the lid (not seen from the outside or top when in use)The bowl is slightly off of being completely round, as it may have been dropped, so we leave it to the buyer to determine if you want to bend it back. Because the bowl is slightly bent, the lid needs a push to fit. You can leave it this way, or bend it to be round again.Normal light feather scratches and age spots
