This antique tinted photograph in an oval, ornate gesso frame with convex or bubble glass is an image of a farm scene, likely in the South Jersey farming area (we grow tomatoes, asparagus, spinach, kale, hay) or possibly Pennsylvania. There is a large farmhouse surrounded by a white picket fence and further out, a white horse fence and green pasture. The barn has two hex signs on it and the name of the farm but I can\'t read anything other than \"Farm,\" and possibly \"Wood.\" It looks like \"Wood Something, Something, Farm.\" If I get brave, I might take the picture apart and look on the back.The frame is gorgeous. It is made out of black painted gesso with a raised medallion, with gold peeking through, surrounded by flowers on all four sides. It has the original convex glass. It has a wire hanger on back and hangs kind of tilted down. It is very Victorian looking.This large Victorian picture is in great antique condition. There are signs of age. There are cracks and chips on the black gesso frame. There is a faint wiggle line on the glass that appears to be on the interior, possibly a manufacturing defect. There is a small line the size of an eyelash and an abrasion mark the size of a dime (could be glue but didn\'t come off with Windex) on the top left side of the glass.
