Antique Tole Tin Candlebox. 18th Century. 11 inches long 4 3/4\" diameter of round end. Heightwith top section 6 inches approx.
Nicely articulated in form details. long log form. Back above also has curve to keep design well balanced and pleasing to the eye.
Surface pitted from age, use and heat. Great piece.Directly from an estate in Sherborn, Massachusetts where it was on display in an 17th Century Hearth with other antique fireplace implements.
Old tapers were inside and are included.
Good condition. Surface is pitted from heat and us but clasp and all parts are sturdy and workable.
Piece of wire added on back to aidhanging but this can be easily removed (or not).
