ALL SUBSEQUENT ITEMS FREE SHIPPINGI have some other figural napkin rings and toothpick holders for sale currently...see themHEREMost of these figural napkin rings and toothpick holders were sourced in Australia. I have gathered them over the last 2 years from deceased estate sales all around the country. Most of the American figural napkin rings were made c1860-1899, and I believe a lot of them found there way to Australia in the gold-rush period in Australia in the 1870/1890\'s.I havelisted them nowas they have accumulated over the last 2 years while I have been engaged in a big supreme court action.
This is an absolutely fabulous, very rare, and quitelarge, antiqueAmericanfiguralnapkin ring with a boy (Tom Sawyer) standing quite proudly with hishands in his pockets, in front of an engraved napkin holder. The cartouche is engaved \"Leona\", I think. The boy and ringsit on a rectangular base with an ornate edge, that was used quite alot by barbour Silver Company. It is marked underneath Barbour SilverCo. 8, as it should be.The detail on the boy/Tom sawyer is just amazing as expected with fineAmerican figuralnapkin rings. See photos. It is shown in the book by Gottschalk andWhitson\'s book\"Figural napkinRings: Collectors Identification and Value Guild\", in Plate 661on Page 268. They valued it at $350-$500 in 1996, 16 years ago, but itsells for much more than this now. See below. This figural napkin ring is inexcellentcondition.I have not polished it, or even washed it. It has a fabulous darkpatinaand I do not see any issues with it at all. DON\'T MISS THIS ONE.This is a rare ring that commands top dollar and so hard to find inthis sort of condition. It recently sold at sale in the USA for $1792.50 (includes19%premium), just last Sept 2011, and I think mine is in even bettercondition.
I just acquired 4 male figure napkin rings (see lastphoto), and I plan to list them all. Pleaselook at thephotos (which form part of the description) and ask any questions ifyou have any | Froo | Froo Cross Sell, Free Cross Sell, Cross promote, Marketing, listing Apps, Apps, Application
