You can barely see a faint US on the side near the square hole, and I also believe there is a stamped name right above where an additional piece of metal was forged on to the end of the hoe that is hard to read but I believe I see at least VEGA or something similar. This area is also indented here so I do think that it is a stamped word or name.Authentic Antique woodworking Adze verified by a collector here on -- probably pre-Civil War.Measuring 9 inches long and 2 1/2 inches tall.
