Here is a antique oil on artist board portrait of a young woman in a red dress. The painting is framed in a newer gold gilt frame( probably 1980s frame), but the painting dates to the Civil war era 1860-70s time period.The entire piece measures 13 1/4 x 15 3/4 ins. and painting alone measures 9 1/2 x 12 ins. The portrait has some writing on the back paper that names the person as Turga( ?) Anne Harrell of Henderonville,NC. I do not see a signature.The painting is in good as is vintage condition with only a few surface scratches.
