Antique Victorian Glass Repousse Silver Perfume Bottle Brass Atomizer Hp Florals For Sale
Antique Hand Painted Glass & Brass Perfume or Scent BottlePump Atomizer with Chain (c.1900 - 1920s) This lovely antique perfume bottle is generally in great condition, with all pieces intact & functioning. Itis cylindrical in shape and the frosted glass has a lime green hue to it. Its body is hand painted with deep pink & white florals (green, black & gold foliage compliment). The screw-off metal cap has somewhat of a repousse decoration with decorative foliage designs and nice patina. I suspect that the chain and interior pump atomizer are made of brass; I don't believe the top to be sterling (it's unmarked). As a 'pump atomizer,' one easily turns the round centerpiece on top of the lid with the tip of a finger, which then pops up and works as a pump. The perfume is released through the sprayer on the side of the atomizer (which has a small cap, attached by a chain). Imperfections:The base has two teeny nicks and a small flake ship (see last photo); some tarnish to the interior metal lip;very minor wear to the hand painted decoration & metal (commensurate with age & use). It has the smell of 'baby powder' to it. NOTE: please disregard condensation in first photo (I rinsed the piece and hadn't dried the interior before shooting that opening photo).
