Here is a beautiful antique American Victorian golden quatersawn oak picture frame. It is a larger frame with gilt gold compo/gesso decorations on three areas of molding. It has five moldings in total making it a very wide six inches on the surround. The frame is in good as is vintage condition withminor nicks, and almost no loss tothe compo/gesso. The frame is solidand sturdy. There is no glass. It used to house a late 1800s pastel portrait so we can date it to the 1880-90s timeperiod.Perfect for late 1800s decors.
