Here is a antique oil portrait of a woman in a lace gown by listed German artist Heinrich Michaelis ( 1837-?). This painting is oil on canvas, measures 23 x 27 ins. and is in fair/good as is vintage condition. It looks to have had some old repairs made at the middle right in the background, and left top side.The painting has a white foam board behind it to protect the canvas from punctures.It is signed H. Michaelis 1905 at the bottom right. This artist was known for portrait painting.
The woman in this portrait looks like some sort of royalty or family member of royalty , possibly. I say that as she has a large crown diamond brooch on her collar, while wearing a off the shoulder intricate lace gown. She has blonde hair and blue eyes.
