Offered is a very old antique tinned copper Ottoman, or possibly Civil War Water Canteen or Flask, with metal hang rings. This measures 9\" tall x 7.5\" wide x 4\" deep, including the spout...The rings each measure 1.5\" in diameter. I see no markings, or signatures. I would consider the condition very good for it\'s age. The original metal hang rings still intact on each side. The spout his a few dings around the top edge, otherwise in good condition, I didn\'t fill it with water, but no holes are visible. This was used, and has what looks like patches on one side. The repairs were made while it was in use, or when originally made, nothing recent, as the patina is consistent throughout the piece. ... I tried to show in the photos. I purchased this, and some other pieces, which I will be listing from the same collection, the family didn\'t know the history, but thought they had been told most of the pieces were from the late 1800\'s to the early 1900\'s? They thought this a few pieces may have been from the Civil War? It definitely appears to be authentic, and apologize I don\'t know any other history, so I\'m starting this and the other pieces at what I believe are fair opening offers!
