The Person that purchased this returned it because someone had added a little extra solder to strengthen it. The color of the silver solder did not match the gold color of the rest of the bottom. I put some gold paint over it to match the rest and now you can hardly tell and so I am relisting it.
Offered today is this Very Very Rare Collins Oil Lamp Burner. This burner was made by Holmes, Booth & Haydens of Waterbury Conn. & first Patented Sept. 19, 1865 by Michael Collins of Chelsea, Mass. This is a very rare burner that I have had for over 50 years and though a lamp collector all of my life this is the only one that I have ever seen. I am starting this at a very low price with .
