Antique Very Rare German Westerwald/Raeren Jug Drinking Man Punished by Furious Woman
+ Text + Dated 1590 Museum Piece!

A very interesting German Westerwald/Raeren one-handled grey/blue salt-glazed jug

decorated with a continiuous frieze in relief with a drunken man comming home punished

by his furious wife together with text and the date 1590 the neck some angel medaillons –

- Late 16th Century/dated 1590 period – Height: 9,5 inch (242mm) – Very good condition,

only some old restoration to the appliques on top,circa 30%/one third and some little chips on

the rim (please see pictures) further no cracks, hairlines or restorations – Unique jug, Museum Piece!
