This is anextremelyrare and truly stunning Victorian Gold Bracelet set with gorgeous faceted Almandine Garnets, which has been entirely hand crafted by a superb 19th Century Goldsmith to create a piece of jewellery that is quite sublime. As was typical of the period the bracelet is unmarked but is guaranteed to be solid Gold; testing to between 10ct - 12ct(please study the detailed close-upphotographs provided, which form an integral part of the item\'s description).
The bracelet has as it\'s focal point an ornate Gold centrepiece, set with the most beautiful Almandine Garnets that have a purple/red colour that is quite breathtaking. The bracelet is testimony to the skill of the 19th Century Goldsmith who painstakingly handmade the jointed hollow sections, each of which has been beautifully engraved with hand chased decoration.
Overall this fine Victorian Bracelet is in superb condition for a piece of jewellery that is nearly 170 years oldwith only a couple of small areas of metal loss to the foliate overlay decoration (leaves) to the side of the the Almandine Garnet set centrepiece;it retains it\'s original clasp, which works perfectly and it\'s domed rock crystal glazed panel to the reverse that holds the original hairmemento.
The bracelet is approx\' 17.5cm long and it weighs 12.4 grams; while the Garnet set centrepiece, which creates a stunning focalpoint measures approx\' 4.4cm x 3.0cm.
