Antique Victorian 14K Gold Seed Pearl & Ruby Lavaliere Necklace

Dates to the late Victorian era, circa 1900.

Crafted in solid 14K yellow gold, and hallmarked as such upon the back of the pendant portion and again on the necklace clasp.

This eye-catching piece is set with 51 genuine split natural seed pearls and is claw-set with a vivid pinky-red round cut 3.6 mm ruby in a floral and foliage motif.

The pendant portion measures 1.85\" from the top to the bottom of the dropper, and 1.27\" from side to side (and omitting both the hanging rings and the two decorative links on either side). Finished with a traditional O ring link necklace chain and spring ring clasp. The necklace measures just under 18\" from end to end. This piece weighs a very solid 8.1 grams.

Condition is very good, with no damages. One seed pearl appears to have been replaced, otherwise excellent.
