This ring has been in the family for generations.

Some have referred to it as a pale amethyst and some have referred to it as quartz.

It does sometimes cast a very pale lavender cast.

But overall, many thought I was sporting a huge diamond.

The stone has been buffed and it is perhaps 7 to 10 karats.

And perhaps 1.9 pennyweight.

The band has a lovely decoration on the sides and is 3/8 inches wide.
