A stunning Victorian 18ct Gold Ring, dating to 1888, which is set with five graduated Coral cabochons on a tapered band to create a ring that is sublimelybeautiful(please study the detailed close-upphotographs provided, which form an integral part of the item\'s description).
This fine quality antique ring, which weighs a substantial 3.6 grams, is fully hallmarked confirming that it is made from solid 18ct Gold and that it was assayed in Birmingham in 1888. The graduated Coral cabochons are set in a typically Victorian setting and the whole ring exudes quality. This ring looks fabulous when worn and is sure to attract many admiring glances - it is quite simply sublime.
Overall the ring is in great condition with only light wear commensurate with age; there is little wear to the band and the hallmark is still crisp & clear, which is indicative of how little this ring has been worn. On close examination with a loupe (or in the photographs, which are taken at x10 magnification) there are a couple of tiny black spots visible on the Coral, however this is perfectly normal for undyed natural Coral.
The ring is sized as a UK Ring Size \'M 1/2\', which equates to a US Ring Size \'6 1/2\'. As with almost all antique rings the band is slightly ovalized i.eit is not perfectly round and it measures slightly differently on the Ring Stick depending on how it is positioned, however this will not affect the ring whenworn.
