Antique Victorian 2 Piece Black Silk Plisse\' Dress with Lace:

This is a 2 piece Victorian dress from the period of 1890-1910. The fabric is a silk in a medium-heavy weight with a very unusual plisse\' texture. The top closes with hooks and eyes, features long slim leg-o-mutton sleeves, with silk lined cuffs, and ruffled lace at the inside edge. The skirt closes in back and has a pleated back to make a very attractive sweep. A little of the fabric is rubbed on the skirt, but it\'s not obvious. The collar is missing it\'s lace trim, but other than that, this dress is in very nice shape. The top is lined in cotton calico fabric with boning all thru the midriff, front and back. The hem of the top ends in a black silk ruffle. Comes from a smoke free home.
