A beautiful Victorian 3 tiered leather Jewellery box with silk lined interior
This original antique dates circa 1890 and is in lovely aged condition.The exterior of the box is designed in leather with rather lovely ornate brass detailing to the handle & lock - the leather does shows signs of ageing but does not detract from the beauty of this original piece.Internally the box contains 3 tiers - each of which is lined in a fuschia silk which due to its age has deteriorated in part. The first tier is designed to hold brooches, rings & necklaces .The second tier to hold larger pieces and finally the 3rd tier is an open space for more jewellery or correspondence /love letters/postcards etc that could be hidden from prying eyes .
