Beautiful black and whilte/off white Victorian bustle skirt or petticoat. Has a lighter gathered bustle in the back. Very rare to see striped pieces. This is a wonderful light weight cotton/blend material and would be easy to wear. One thing I love about this piece is that the hook and eyes are in the front. They are hidden where vertical stripes meet the center panel. There are 6 total and the seam is approx. 9\" starting at the waist band. The waistband is nice and secure for its age. They are on the left side when worn. Inside of the skirt is not lined and does not appear to have ever been so. There are some hanging threads at the seams as the seams are rough.There is some spotting scattered around. In the front there are a few and around the waist band. See last images. This may need a light cleaning, and I am not sure if the spotting will lift with tratment. No holes or repairs. There maybe a few pin holes I did not spot, and some light fading. Nothing stands out immediately upon examination. Striped look pretty solid. Measures 14\" at waist (14\" across). Center front measures approx. 35.5\" and down 36.5\" center back. It still holds life. Wonderful for any collector.
