This Victorian vulcanite necklace is in superb antique condition. The overall length of the item is 415mm (16.5 inches) and the links are graded so that the necklace hangs symetrically on each side.

The links have not fadedover the years like many vulcanitechains from this era and maintain a good black colour. The largest of the circular links is 22mm (0.75inches) in diameter, and the smallest link is 10mm diameter. The links are well graded in size to give a pleasing balanced appearance to this necklace. The brass hook which fastens the necklace is an original Victorian fastening. The total weight of the necklace is 28grams.
