This necklace is delicate but is striking for its uniquely shaped links giving it a more modern profile. The links has 8 or 9 different sizes and shapes that are symmetrical on either side of the chain. The necklace doesn\'t sit evenly front to back as its shown on the mannequin (it is shown with a link centered in front on the mannequin so the clasp is a little off center at the back of your neck) - the connecting links would be centered - so a pendant or locket could be added nicely. The pendants are very thin and flat at the back so the necklace very flush along your neckline. Looking at the back of the necklace a large portion of the connecting links were re-enforced. There are no garnets missing and they all look original to the piece. The repairs were beautifully done, they were done a long time ago and the links are very secure. Overall this is a striking and uniquely designed, bohemian garnet necklace, that is from the Victorian era and is in very good condition.
