Antique Victorian Carved Eastlake Wall Pocket Letter Comb Holder w/ Bird Decal:

This is an original antique (late 19th century) Eastlake style carved wooden wall pocket that could be used as a letter or comb holder. The wood appears to be walnut but I am not 100% sure and is constructed with some square nails and some more modern nails. Near the top is a charming original decal of a green and yellow bird that shows a little wear but still looks very good. Overall condition of the piece is excellent, there are no cracks or other major damage to the wood and it is solid, sturdy, and perfectly usable. The finish shows very little wear; it might have been re-finished at some point. Outer dimensions of the piece are 11 3/4\" W x 15 1/2\" H and it sticks out a total of 3 3/4\". The compartment opening measures 9 1/4\" L x 4\" H x 2 7/8\" deep. It will be packed securely and fully insured during shipping.
