If items areclearly marked, we do not have it acid tested, especially if markings includedesigner’s markings. Unmarked items wehave tested. If natural hairlineinternal cracks in stones, loose settings (that normally happen over the years)bother you, or expect perfect, then you do not want Vintage. Even jewelry that is brand new tends to haveflaws. This is all Antique ArtDeco/Nouveau, Victorian, Vintage and newer Collectible jewelry, all newer itemshave been stored and are still part of the humongous estate collection and mayhave been worn, but minimally. Silverjewelry with stones sometimes loosen over the years, and stones shift andaccumulate hairline cracks. This is part of the charm of vintage jewelry. Anything distracting we will note in ourlistings, anything damaged we do not list.Of course we may miss some flaws even after examining and we doapologize, but we have also issued refunds for those (which have beenfew). THISsale: Antique Victorian circa 1900, large emeraldshaped blue topaz colored glass body with a round green glass crystal head. Bug/Insect pin with a yellow gold tonesetting holding the crystals with sturdy prongs, pink gold tone metallegs. Blue glass measures approx. 25mm X19mm X 12mm, round green crystal measures approx. 12-13mm. It weighs 13.8g, so you can see it is apretty solid pin. This is one you cansee from across the room! Overall verygood condition, normal wear on metal, but has not even been cleaned. Part of estate collection found instorage. Several, what we consider veryminor flea bites, only because you really can only see thru magnification orvery close inspection (at least we can’t), may be some original air bubblesthat have popped, (we tried to capture in pictures, keep in mind that picturesare magnified). But this little guy isover 100 years old. We are mentioningjust so that you know that he is not perfect, but just too spectacular to notoffer it. You hardly ever see crystalson figural pins this large. It is trulyso much nicer in person. We think aricher, deeper blue than what the pictures show. We tried with and without flash but could notcapture. So much more vibrant inperson. We do leave most of thedescriptions up to the pictures, so be sure to view all.
