The bottle is very much like some I have seen which were placed in miniature liquor trays ~ the label is similar, though this bottle is rounded, while the others I have are more rectangular. This would make a very fascinating doctor\'s handbag or purse in a dollhouse or for a mignonette or French Fashion doll! Its handle is worn and very delicately still attached, and it may have other wear. The snap closure may wear out upon use, so it will be wise to snap or unsnap carefully.Niagara Falls was an incredibly popular tourist destination in the 1800s ~ I learned about it in an art history class: my professor showed how at first, colonists did not celebrate nature so as much as fear it (afraid of being attacked by animals and Natives), and depicted the falls from below rather than above. Nature was an intimidating force to them. Later, once a feeling of control had been gained, and as wilderness became scarce, the Falls and other areas were painted with glorious beauty.
