Antique Victorian EASTLAKE Ebony BLACK Incised Accents Frame 8 x 10 c 1870s:

Here is an antique Victorian Eastlake black ebonized picture frame. The frame measures 14 1/2 x 16 3/8 ins., the back rabbet insert molding is 8 x 10 ins. and the molding itself is 4 layers at 4 ins. wide. the frame has the typical incised decorations of an Eastlake piece,with gold gilt inner moldings. It is in fair/good as is vintage condition with some old( I don\'t know when), black re-paint on the front and back. It actually looks very good , it does have a tad bit of paint on the gold gilt molding but could be cleaned off if it bothers you. The frame is still solid and sturdy. I would date this frame to the 1860-70s time period.
