This is a charming original Victorian two-tier sewing basket that would also make a nice plant stand. The legs are solid wood with a dark brown finish and the two baskets are tin with a black finish on the bottom, old floral cotton fabric on the inside (probably not original), and a layer of ornatelyembossed heavy cardboard-like material (has a leather-like appearance) around the outside. The same embossed material also accents the rounded top of each leg. The entire piece is in very good condition, but has some dusty residue in the baskets, and light surface wear from age and use on legs and baskets. The legs are firmly attached, and the stand is sturdy, although I don\'t think it would hold heavy objects well. It measures 29\" H x 15\" W at the widest part of the legs, the top basket is 11\" in diameter x 2 1/2\" deep, and the bottom basket is 12\" in diameter x 5\" deep. It will not be disassembled for shipping, but will be packed very well and insured during shipping.
