Along with my own lace collection,I shall now be selling an extensive and very beautiful collection of antique lace which I have recently aquired...including many which are hand made.There is a large quantity, so this will be spread over many weeks so do bookmark the page as there some exquisite and unusual pieces in this collection to come....please read the condition reports carefully, as as antique textiles will usually have imperfections which are part of their age, use and character, thank you.

Description

This is a very pretty fine gauge piece of Victorian lace.....it is such a delicate but strong piece with an all over finely spotted design in the netting with a larger design of swags and flowers....it appears a bit paler than what it is, on my monitor, and is much prettier than in the 12 images.....do look at them all.
The colour is a pale cream, and although it is a machine made lace, it is a good one and the design has been outlined with a thicker yarn and this does appear to have been done by hand......ladies were employed by companies just to carry out this work at the manufacturers, especially in Nottingham.
The one piece is a good size, measuring approximately 30\" x 13.5\" (76cm. x 34cm.) and is fresh and cleanin very good for the age condition.....with a minor fault....please read my Condition Report below, for full details.Condition Report.There are a few light age spots on the piece.Terms of Sale

I do not accept returns as I write detailed descriptions and take many photographs so please read the Description and Condition report carefully, and examine the images. Vintage and antique items will often have faults, which I am always honest about, but if you are looking for perfection then it would be better to buy new, thank you.

If I find that I have really overcharged on postage, I will always issue a refund...it is not always easy to estimate the cost.....I add approximately 60p to cover my packing materials ( and paypal both take a percentage of our postal charges, so fair sellers are losing, all the time).
