This is an exquisite large antique Georgian period circa 1810, Whitby Jet and steel wire brooch. The brooch has some damage to the jet sections commensurate with age and brooch design.
The width is 6.5 cm ( One and three fifth inches ) and the pin and C clasp are in working condition and original.
