You are offerding on an exceptional high relief shell cameo brooch pendant that measures approx. 1 5/8\" x 1 1/4\" and features a Bacchante muse with grapes & leaves in her hair. The item weighs approx. 11.9 grams and I have added a coin in one picture so you can gauge the size.The very thick shell is stable and secure in the gold setting with no movement. The twisted border has sections that need to be reshaped and has holes where I assume a string of seed pearls were attached at one time. The brooch has an extra pin for added security when worn and a fold down swivel hanging loop so it can be worn as a pendant. The clasp is in good working order and is marked 10K.
