There seems to be some confusion if these types of lamps are of Persian orgin or made. This jeweled candle lamp is not of Persian origin.It is American made and is in the style of Turkish or Moorish motiffurniture made in the Eastlake style 1870-1900 is modeled after a man named GeorgeEastlake that came from England and produced his style of European furniture.The faze caught on and was popular for over 30 years.Victorian glass, lamp and furniture makers also copied Japanese styles of designand incorporated it into their items. This period was called Japanese Aesthetic Movement but everything was made here. The lamp was a consignment from an early shoreline home and the lamp was originallyhung in an upstairs hallway, Geniune Victorian candle lamp with 20 jewels. No damage to this beautiful example of Victorian history. Some pictures show dirt or dust... jewels have nice color.
