Antique Victorian OSTBY BARTON 10k Gold Tourmaline Ring:

A very sweet and small Antique Victorian ring in 10k yellow gold. It features a lovely design with an oval faceted Tourmaline. I have tested the stone on my presidium gem tester. The stone has a purplish hue with pink as well. The ring has also been professionally tested for gold content and tests at 10k. It is also marked O.B. 10k which is Ostby Barton. This historical ring is small, as it is a size 3, I am sure a jeweler could add a couple sizes to it if needed. The stone measures 7.5mm by 5mm and is in overall lovely antique condition. Weighs 1.7 Grams. F/D

Ostby Barton jewelry was in business beginning in 1879. The rich history of this company was quite influential on the jewelry world, however they are most notable for Mr. Ostby and his daughter Helene being passengers aboard the Titanic. Mr. Ostby did not survive, however Helene lived. The Ostby Barton branded jewelry has been and continues to be a collectible jewelry brand. The business continued into the 1950\'s run by his daughter.
