*This charming illustration is a cautionary tale about being specific with what you wish for ~ It is on the inside cover of a Victorian children\'s hardcover book circa 1900 ~ I loved it so much that I wanted to frame it to preserve and protect what was left ~ the frame is not Victorian, but fits and looks perfect ~ The poem goes like this:
By Halves
\"Fairy listen to my plea,\"
Froggy said with bended knee
\"Half of fish, please render me.\"
He would fain a Merfrog be.\"Frog, - \'tis done!\"the fay said, \"Go!
What! You do not like it? Oh!
Half of fish - you wished it so.
Which half - that, how could I know?\"I absolutely LOVE this piece and
