~ Lovely Pair of Victorian Antique Ambrotype Photographs ~

Great clarity to this pair of handsome ambrotype photos. The subject is of a lady & a gentleman, I would presume that they are a husband & a wife so are presented as a pair.

Generally in good condition with some marks commensurate with age.

These are highly collectable are beautifully decorative and a wonderful piece of history.

The photographs are set in lovely burgundy leather tooled ornate cases with brass clasps which are intact and work well - holding the cases shut. There is velvet to the interior of the cases which protects the photograph when its shut.

Smaller Ambrotype of the Lady - (When shut) - Width - 6cm - 2.5\" - Height - 7.5cm / 3\"

Larger Ambrotype of Gentleman - (When Shut) - 8.5cm / 3.25\" - Height - 9cm / 3.5\"
