Very unique Victorian skirt. It is peach with black velevet trim, trimmed scalloped edging and a nice large pocket. Color was hard to pick up with the camera (remember monitors slightly differ too) This may have been altered with a pocket (some Victorian pieces had pockets), and what appears to have been an elastic band. You can feel it in the waist in a section (seam may have to be opened to pull it). This skirt is a M/L or XL depending on how you decide to fix the waist. A thick black ribbon or small tie like a lot of petticoats had would work.
This needs a closure and has plenty of give to be realtered. The skirt has stains and seperations all through out (see photos for examples). I took some pictures of them. The skirts velevet trim is warn all over the scalloped edges and also the thick trim has some tears. There is a mend of a tear also on the skirt. The fabric has little dots through out that slightly catch light. They are hard to see in the photos due to subtleness and size. I am not sure the material. It has a somewhat stiff feel and does not seem to be all cotton. This may be a blend. However, I cannot say what the material is for sure. Great piece for display, study or wear. The material is some what fragile due to age, but could most likely be worn still. Measures: approx 58\" waist max (was altered to this) and 37\" long. Pocket is approx 11\" deep. Very unique piece of Victorian clothing.
